專業水彩畫家
國立臺灣藝術大學美術學系 兼任副教授
謝明錩，1955年生，台灣著名水彩畫家，曾任台灣藝術大學美術系副教授，現任玄奘大學藝術與創作設計系客座教授。他以文學系出身的背景崛起於雄獅美術新人獎，活躍於1970年代台灣水彩畫的第一次黃金時代。27歲時，國家文藝基金會頒給他「青年西畫特別獎」，40幾歲時，兩度獲邀佳士得國際藝術品拍賣會，50歲時，臺北市立美術館策劃的《台灣美術發展展》遴選他為70年代台灣鄉土美術的代表，60歲時，在《全球百大國際水彩名家特展》中被觀眾票選為人氣王第一名。

Hsieh Ming-Chang, born in 1955, is a renowned Taiwanese watercolor artist. He formerly served as an t associate professor in the Department of Fine Arts at National Taiwan University of Arts and is currently a visiting professor in the Department of Art and Creative Design at Hsuan Chuang University. With a background in literature, he rose to prominence as a recipient of the Hsiung Shih New Artist Award during the first golden era of Taiwanese watercolor art in the 1970s. At the age of 27, he was awarded the "Young Western Painting Special Award" by the National Culture and Arts Foundation. In his forties, he was invited to participate in two Sotheby's international art auctions. At the age of 50, he was selected as a representative of 1970s Taiwanese rural art in the "Taiwan Art Development Exhibition" curated by the Taipei Fine Arts Museum. At the age of 60, he was voted as the most popular artist in the "Global Top 100 International Watercolor Masters Special Exhibition."
